Directions: First read pp. 253 – 255, 259 – 265, 271 – 279, 283 – 285, and 294 – 298 in your Earth Science textbook.

  The plate boundaries are very active, the sites of mountain building, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.  These changes occur due to the stresses building up from the convergent, divergent and sliding boundaries at the edges of the 7 large and 13 small plates.  After reading the pages listed above, answer the following Focus Questions:
